Hot out of the casts from tuning maestros Revolution come these two new superb designs from Dare. The Black LS combines classic 5 spoke good looks with a superb pseudo split-rim appearance, whilst the Silver XF adds a novel new twist to the attractive 7 spoke genre.
The real hook on both designs is the stunning ‘flamed titanium’ effect outer lip that adds a real touch of class to both wheels. The colour changes depending on ambient light and viewing angle, resulting in a wheel that never quite looks the same way twice. Most 4 and 5 stud fitments are available in 17” and 18” applications.
Despite the kind of looks that wouldn’t look out of place on six-figure exotica, Revolution have kept one eye on the credit crunch, offering either design, as a complete 17” Wheel and Tyre package for an unbelievable £569.00, complete with high performance tyres.
Hot wheels.. Cool prices.

I was checking my email, and i received a press release from a friend. It was an email containing some juicy gossip about a fresh wheel from Radius. So here it is for you all to enjoy
Italian Wheel Gods Radius have raised the bar yet again. The R15, Their very latest wheel showcases the last word in cutting-edge technology and boasts no less than three separate finishes on one wheel. A global first in the wheel market.
Penned by the respected designer, Giovanni Corioni, the R15 sports an attractive matt-black centre that radiates into flawless chrome inserts on each of the 5 spokes, flowing right around the wheel. These contrast beautifully with the dissecting matt effect of the rim and stepped spoke profile.

Aiming squarely at the top-end and prestige markets, sizes start at 18” and range right up to 22”. Nearly all 5 stud fitments for car and SUV are covered with a wide variety of widths ensuring that most models are catered for.
As with all Radius wheels, the design is optimised by their own technicians in conjunction with the Engineering Faculty of Ferrara University, to achieve the greatest structural integrity combined with wind-tunnel testing for a perfect balance of airflow and brake cooling.
Prices start from £289.99 each including VAT for the 8 x 18” fitment.

They are definetly a crisp looking alloy wheel, combining some old ideas with a fresh approach. If anyone has a picture of a car with these on then give us a shout.

Tyresure, manufacturers of the market-leading Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) are encouraging drivers to check their tyre pressures as temperatures plummet. With Winter drawing in and early mornings seeing temperatures nudging zero and below, many motorists are forgetting to check their tyres and adjust for the cooler temperatures.
Air contracts when it is cooled, meaning that first thing in the morning your car tyre pressures could be several pounds lower than they were during the summer months – with an obvious effect on your car’s handling and road manners.
‘As road grip decreases and the threat of black ice becomes ever-more realistic, the condition and inflation of your tyres becomes imperative.’ Explained Tyresure M.D, Ian Smith. ‘It’s wise to check your tyres every week anyway, but this won’t show you, the driver, how the temperature and pressure of your tyres can change as you drive in cold weather. Tyresure uses an easy-to-read visual display that shows a live, real-time display of both tyre pressure and temperature and reassesses the situation every 30 seconds to keep you fully aware of potential hazards.’
Tyresure uses a high-visibility colour display screen that can be fitted in seconds to any car and displays safe temperatures and pressure in green, changing immediately to flashing red should these breach pre-set safety parameters. This means that even in a driver’s peripheral vision, vital tyre safety data can never be missed. The price for this total piece of mind? Just £179.00 for a complete 4 wheel kit and dashboard display. Don’t wait for Christmas, treat yourself to one now!

Since the launch of certain VW’s, Audi alloy wheels have become very popular in the VAG scene and we have seen modified polos, golfs, skodas and beetles cruising on replica audi wheels.
The fad has become quite catching with the dubbers across the UK and you can now buy wheels that are replicas that you will see on the A3, A6 & A8.
People also buy older Audi’s and put new audi wheels on them to bring them more up-to-date. This is something best covered on our sister site – DailyRunabout – where we talk about the best ways to look good and save money when on the road.
